MARCH TO SUCCESS
TIGER PROUD: For the third time since its creation in 2009, the Lebanon High School marching band has placed in the top 16 schools at the Indiana State Fair. The band was named 16th out of 49 total entrants into this year's competition. LHS marching band director Alan Conrad said that this year the band staff was able to work with the 75 band members more individually, employing a woodwinds instructor and visual experts for the first time.
Though the LHS band only began paricipating in the state fair compeition five years ago, they've consistently ranked among the top groups in the state, Conrad said.
"We're very proud of where we have come in that time," he said. "It makes it really exciting for the future. I think we'll get even better."
