Mitchell was a drug addict for 13 years before turning his life around and becoming an advocate for treatment. He invites anyone needing help to call the number on the billboard so he can connect them with resources for recovery.

"A lot of addicts are in the same position of feeling like there's no light at the end of the tunnel and knowing no one is standing up and saying that there is hope, there is help," Mitchell said. "I want the billboard to say that."
